The Heritage Foundation owns and manages a 5,300 acre property estate. This comprises offices, factories, shops, houses, community amenities, farms and land.
Its mission is:
To create, maintain and promote a vibrant, quality environment in Letchworth Garden City, for all those who live, work and visit the world's first Garden City.
Our aim is to maximise the financial returns from the assets we hold in trust and to re-invest those returns:
- To improve an increasingly valuable asset base;
- To support charitable activities which meet demonstrable needs and provide a proven benefit to the community.
The Foundation actively sponsors many sporting bodies in Letchworth and they are keen to promote sport, especially, with the younger generation.
Letchworth Golf Club has worked closely with the Foundation over the past years to develop promote JuniorGolf, our Par3/Pitch & Putt faciliy and generally to promote the club to the local community.
The Heritage Foundation, through their Grants Programme, have supported the club, where appropriate, to help update the facilities as well as to restore & the clubhouse to its former glory in the Art Deco Style.
Letchworth Golf Club continues to work with several local bodies including the Heritage Foundation to ensure that this facility is of 1st class standard to attract new members as well as retain our loyal membership.
